This and That

Hi! I hope everyone had a terrific holiday weekend. Easter here was very nice. L rec'd 2 baskets from mommy & daddy...oops, I mean the Easter Bunny, 1 basket from her day care lady and another basket from the neighbors. Needless to say, she was not left wanting for anything. Actually the only reason she got 2 from us was because after we got all the stuff for the one, I found out at work that I had won the March of Dimes basket that I bought tickets for. I really didn't think I would win - I never win anything - but lo and behold, my name was called. That basket was a "beach" basket - lots of beach toys, a towel, blow up ball and a blow ring for the water. It was pretty cool and she was sooo excited!

As you may have noticed, I have started to add the blogs that I read regularly to my site. If you would like to be added or removed just let me know.

On the baby #2 front - I have been charting per my Dr.'s request for about a month now. I have PCOS and also been taking Metformin to help with the ovulating process. She upped the dosage I was to take and she seems to think this will help me ovulate, thus making it *easy* (haaahaaaa) for me to get pregnant. I'll show her! Nothing is EASY when it comes to infertility and getting pregnant. To get pregnant with L, I had a different Dr. who went straight to fertility meds via injections. Fun Fun!! Needless to say, that was one expensive little trip that I am still paying for. So this time we were kind of hoping to try something different and hopefully not as expensive.

Anyway - more on that later!

Bye for now!

Getting Into the Blogging Groove

Hello again! Thank you to those of you who stopped by and more thanks to those who left a comment. It's hard to write that next post when you think nobody is reading what you are writing - its nice to know that there are people out there!

This week has been g
oing pretty good so far...went to the beach on Sunday night, watched the sunset and L got to play in the sand. The water is waaaay too cold for swimming still but hopefully will be warming up pretty soon. We live about 15 minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico but we never make time for the beach. I am trying to change that and implement some "family time" at the same time. We had a good time and got some good pics of L.

I will be working on my site in the very near future - there are many things I want to add - such as the blogs that I read. There are many good ones out there and I am getting better at commenting...(do unto others....). I will also start posting about my treatment for infertility and my quest for baby #2. There are a few things in the works, so stay tuned!

UPDATE: I have started adding a few blogs to my list that I read. If you would like to be added to the list please let me know - also if you are on the list and want off let me know that too! Thanks!

Intro of Dreaming Indigo

Welcome to my blog! Just a few introductions to get started...I am Carrie, 30 yrs old, living in Florida with my husband, G (41) and daughter L (2). My mother also lives here on a part time basis but is currently visiting my brother in England. G also has a 20 year old son who lives out of the house but comes by every once in a while...usually to borrow money.

Hopefully this blog will not bore anyone to tears. It will mostly be ramblings of everyday life, family, infertility & PCOS, work, and anything else that I can think of to write about. Sit back, relax, enjoy. And if you don't enjoy, then feel free to keep it to yourself. (just kidding!) I welcome anyone who would like to comment - the only thing I ask is that you are not too mean and hateful.

This picture is of my daughter L. I try to take MANY pictures of her - this one is a favorite because G was trying to get her to smile and instead she ended up getting pissed and looking kind of devilish. She certainly has her mommy's attitude and her daddy's looks. From day one everyone said that she was his "mini-me". Every once in a while someone will say she looks just like me - I just think they are being nice.

I work part-time for a shipping company (NO - not UPS) as a courier - i drive a big truck for about 5 hours a day and absolutely LOVE it! I never thought I would be doing something like this but it kind of fell in my lap and I could not pass up the great pay and awesome benefits. G works at a lighting company doing customer service.

Alrighty...enough for now. If you do happen to stumble across this blog and have made it to here, please leave a comment. Thanks!!!!
